The Den Site, The Pack's Home Forest10

This is the Den site, it holds home for the Elthin Warriors Pack and may not look to be much on the outside but the roominess will surprise you on the inside. It is completely sheltered from all weather and is almost always pretty dark in the caves, where the pack make their homes. In these caves straight ahead lies the Dominants Domain, here lie the Cora, Minya and Nelde. To the right is the Noldo's headquarters, this is where the elders spend the most of their time discussing pack things a single hole in the roof allows much sun light allowing them to do their duties. Finally, to the Left lies the Subordiante's chambers, This provides a home for the Ohtar, Vasa, Edhel, Fallaner, Nessa and Di'Thang, it is a spacious tunnel with plenty of room for activities on rainy days. The caves are ancient and are a sacred part of the Elthin Warriors Pack. They will do anything to defend it.

Flint watched as the others gradually came through the river towards him. Noticing Ayla rush like a bull at a gate through them he got to his paws once more and gently swaggered to the den. It wasn't far now and it wasn't far from darkness. Though it would take time for the environment to cool down, Flint was taking no chances as his thick leathery peds carried him through the forest with ease. The leaf litter shuffled around his paws leaving a trail behind him, for the others to follow. It was already dark in the forest and small glimmers of the sun lasted only moments through its dips and peaks. The charcoal male's coat was now pretty much invisible amongst the darkness between the trees, his luminous lemony eyes however stood out like headlights as the new pack proceeded forth.

~Moving to the Den site

It wasn't long before Flint reached the tall archways that guarded the den, The tall relics carved in stone by man kind provided a great shelter as most daren't enter it. Flint padded up the stone steps, his toe nails clicking rhythmically over the smooth surface. He stood at the top and looked around awaited his new pack mates; short velvety ears twitching in the darkness.

A beckoning howl broke the forests silence, as Flint rose his head and allowed the tune to play from his maw. With a deep breath he finished his song, and lowered his head slowly looking around once more. Soon relaxing on his haunches the dark male awaited the wolves to follow him into the den. For now, he decided that they could all stay in the one cave, where the Cora meant to lay. It would be safer for now until the pack had some more members about. It wouldn't of been the first time strange happenings occurred in this forest.

Charity saw the stone archway and knew what creature had made them. Her ears flicked down a little fearful. She had a healthy fear of humans, having encountered them once before. Flint had said that he had been guarding these lands for many more years than she had been alive so no humans must have been there in a long time.

She was still a little wary but followed the obsidian male up the stairs. Her ears flicked as his howl rose on the air. She might have joined him if it were not for the small bundle in her mouth. Entering the caves she found a place near the wall to lay down. Placing Nakia near her stomach she curled around the sleeping pup. "Some of us get all the luck," she whispered nuzzling her little one.

Ayla's ears perked as she eyed off the large stone archway, her gait automatically slowing as she allowed her gaze to wander over the pillars that loomed before her. A chilled night air ruffled her white fur and in the budding moonlight flashes and strands of what looked like pure silver glimmered across her fur and before one had the chance to look closely it would seem her coat was made of the moonlight itself, hence the meaning of her name.

She walked slowly up the stairs, careful to flash Flint and Charity a winning smile as a sharp twist churned her stomach. Keeping her expression calm and unfazed she walked further into the shadows, her coat once again dimming to a plain white as she was enveloped by darkness. Only then, out of their view, did she allow her face to show her true confusion and pain. Seconds later it returned to an impassive mask and she turned to face them, laying down on the cool, smooth rock with a smirk occupying her mouth.

{I am so sorry I have sort of vanished recently. I hope no one minds if I just jump in here.... X( }

Wyatt followed in behind the others and stopped at the steps of the stone arches. He let out a sigh and started to familiarise himself with the area; seeing as he would be spending the rest of his life here. Something seemed rather eerie about the remains of the area. From what he had noted before, man would never usually leave something this grand, to rot away under nature.

He shrugged off the thought for now and finished his scanning of the area, everything was to green and rather earthy, to the extreme almost. Pushing his way through the dark, he continued to follow the others at the sound of Flint's howl. Wyatt slowly lowered himself to ground and lay just at the entrance of the cave, 'one can never be too careful' he thought to himself. His tail flicked behind him along with his ears as he lay watching everything.

[ welcome back, Wyatt (: ]

Basile trotted alongside the other wolves, looking around at the sudden change of scenery. She felt slightly overwhelmed by the new stone structures and paused at the steps. She put her nose down, trying to catch the scent of whoever built these structures but all she caught were the scents of wolves. As the others began to pass her, she willed herself to keep going.

It wasn't until she was at the top of the steps did she feel that something was a bit off. Something about this area felt different. She felt underlying power come from this place in waves and it frightened her. Despite her newfound fear, she slipped into the cave with the others. She curled into herself, finding warmth in her own fur.

Bellatrix flicked her long plush tail behind her, swaying it to the sides as she walked a short distance behind the group, her mouth slightly parted in awe from the scenery of what she was taking in.

((Welcome back Wy, and Bella could you please make sure your posts are bigger. ))

Charity watched as the wolves came in and found a spot for themselves. She had seen something behind Ayla's eyes. Was it pain? That smile she tried to show didn't hide it very well. She would have to find out about that. For now her eyes followed the other two females walk in after Wyatt. Once they had found themselves a spot her attention turned back to Ayla. "Ayla? Is there something wrong? Something you'd like to tell me?" she asked, soft enough for only the female to hear.

Nakia's eye lids felt heavy but she fought the urge to keep them closed. Slowly opening them her ears perked forward. Her blue eyes scanned the area, realising at once that she was no longer at a place she knew. The news of such made her awake quite quickly. Sitting up she looked around, they seemed to be in some sort of cave. A few wolves were curled up here and there. Wyatt lay near the entrance. Dropping her stomach close to the ground she crawled closer to the male. Getting closer she watched as his tail flicked. Her puppy playfulness was unable to resist and she pounced upon her target.

A breeze touches his brow. In the long vista of time he might already be gone. It is time, not space, he's staring into. For years winter and summer, he has been cooped up here, in the forest and plains, amongst the vast hordes of prey. Days, years, season after season; an endless interim of keeping yourself in good trim and your keener self taut as a bowstring, through long stretches of idleness, of restless, patient waiting, and shameful quarrels and unmanly bragging and talk. Such a life is death to the warrior spirit.

The sun is downing now. He pushes to his paws, stands for a last moment filled with his thoughts; his mind, even in its passive state, the most active part of him. Then down, as if a cloak drawn over his forehead, he starts sloping back towards the cave. There was a singing in the air, so hight that it might be the spirits. Flint moves quickly now, it is cold out of the sun, he walked awkwardly down the steps, he has a drunken gait. His paws slip on some pebbles, some of which are as large and smooth as a duck eggs.

Flint had reached the cave, its darkness held no breadth of evil, the young Nakia, playing with Wyatt's tail, and the others scattered about in the den. This obsidian male walked to the opposite edge and laid down in a huff. His paws tired and head heavy. He looked out into the darkening sky and smiled, knowing this was fate, destiny. He laid his head over his crossed paws and drifted into the dream world. His breath slow and ears flat, his jet black coat disappearing aside the cave wall.

Ayla, so caught up in her thoughts, barely heard Charity's concerned questions and it took her a moment to register them and reply.

"I, um, yeah, I'm fine," she replied quietly, surprising even herself when she barely tried to cover up with a usual proud comment or smirk, "Just a little overwhelmed, I guess." She appauled herself with how badly she had just lied and her eyes sought out Charity's with an almost pleading look in her usually fiery eyes and she wondered if she should tell her of her suspicions, for after all, Charity would be the best one to ask. --

Charity's eyes didn't leave Ayla's fire like ones. Her words did not match up with the look on her face at all. Knowing that Nakia had scuffled off to play, Charity moved closer. "Come on Ayla, we know that's not true," she barked softly. Her ears flicked at the sounds around the cave, the sound of Nakia playing, the soft breaths of those asleep. Turning her ears back to the wolf in front of her, Charity spoke softly, "You seem a tad off. Is there something wrong with you? Did you eat something bad? I noticed that you're not eating and that your tummy seems to be giving you some trouble."

Ayla's ears fell back a little, she knew she had been making it obvious, but she was unaware of how observent Charity could be. Swallowing back the swell of hot panic that came along with sharing her feelings with another she averted her eyes from the female, embarrassment flushing through her as her front paws scrambled on the stone beneath to push her into a sitting position. Clearing her throat she spoke quitely so that only the female before her would be able to hear, "Well, I, um, I think..." she trailed off, unsure of what to say.

After a moment she took a deep breath and said so quickly that her words rushed together and so quietly that Charity would have to strain to hear,
"IthinkI'mpregnant."

Charity's eyes soft grey yellowish eyes held such a look that held all her feeling of compassion inside them. She wasn't quite sure what was wrong with the light coated female but she was going to be there for her. She waited patiently while Ayla sat up and took a moment to compose herself. Charity's ears tingled as she heard what the female had said. Her eyes became wide and she just looked at the female. She wasn't expecting that at all. It sure came as a surprise! "Ayla.... Ayla, Are you ok with this?" she couldn't really think of what to say.

Flint continued to remain in his dreamy comatose state. That was until he heard one sentence that particulary annoyed him these days; He shot to his paws infuriated. It had been Ayla that said it, he was sure of it "IthinkI'mpregnant." His lemony eyes once calm became full of hatred as he stood, hackles rising and a growl choking in his throat as a deathly like glance shot from his eyes to Ayla's. As he did he took a daring precise step forth placing his paw with a slight swat, and gave a sharp growl to Ayla's face, his nose only inches away from hers, The pearly white fangs of Flint's showing easily.

Choked upon words the charcoaled male with the glare seemed enough for now, how was he going to provide for the pack for one, and a new litter of pups! He stormed from the den and lashed his tail to the side which met the cave wall giving a hard cracking sound, that erupted through the cave. He grunted and took off into the forest. For the first time he needed to get away from the wolves that he had only called his pack so very few hours ago. As he stormed through the forest he stood next to a giant oak and slammed his head into it. Knowing this whole pack thing, even after forty years, had come too soon. Maybe this was the God's testing him, Maybe it was just chance. That was a word he rarely used.

Ayla's jaws snapped shut as soon as the whispered words left her mouth. She has just admitted to the female something she had refused to admit to herself until now. She didn't know how to reply to Charity's question, of course she wasn't ok with it, how on earth was she, Ayla, going to raise pups?! I could barely even handle Nakia let alone a whole litter of the little things- I mean, pups she thought to herself. But before she was even given the chance to answer Flint walked over with no less than hatred in his eyes and without warning something inside her snapped.

A snarl erupted violently from her throat as she sprung to all fours when he walked off agitatedly, her gaze once again ablaze with a burning fury.
"Do you think I planned this, Flint!? Do you think this is something I really want? Maybe for once you should stop thinking just about yourself and how you are going to cope with this little pack of yours and think about someone else for a change! Anyway, you've just made it obvious that I'm clearly not needed so I guess I'll just show myself out!" She shouted after him, the anger in her words an almost tangible thing in the air as her hackles rose.

Turning back to Charity with a genuine apologetic look on her face she could only manage to whisper a small 'sorry' before she began to run, clearing the stone steps in a single leap and flying blindly into the trees.

Ayla's words echoed through Flints ears as he lowered them knowing that he was in the wrong. He shouldn't of reacted in such a way. With a sigh he muttered softly in reaction to Ayla's words as his head was still pressed up to the Oak trees wide trunk "Good luck surviving through the night..." the words spewed out before he could respond. And again it was the wrong thing to say. Flint drove his head harder into the trunk with a snarl, dragging his head down and off it, seeing small speckles of blood flowing slowly down his forehead, to his nose. He gave a grunt and took off after Ayla, simply losing his drunken gait. It merely an act.

He had picked up her scent and followed it swiftly, though she hadn't reached far, he could see her in the distance. "Ayla! Ayla!" his voice croaked as loud as he could. He soon caught up to her and ran by her side. "Please.. forgive me.. I'm sorry about what i have done, its hard... y'know... For me... Please come back to the den.. You wont survive the night otherwise" His eyes pleaded and he lowered his head truly sorry for his previous actions, though 46 years old, he was still as immature as he was at three, you'd think he would've grown up by now.

The feelings flowing through Charity was a softness for her new found friend. She seemed a little shocked at the idea herself. This was obviously not what she had really wanted or planned. Flint's storm over didn't help. It excited an anger through Charity. Instantly she leapt to her paws, a growl in her throat.

It was Ayla that shouted after the male as he stormed off however. The female soon ran after them too. Running to the entrance at the den she paused only long enough to shout to Wyatt, "Keep and eye on Nakia for me!" and with that she was off into the night to follow the two wolves.

Following their strong scents she slowed down as she neared them. Hanging back she heard Flint's voice. He was apologising. Staying in the shadows she made sure she was not seen and was close enough lest something happen.

Ayla skidded to a halt, unsure whether she was more furious about Flint's previous reaction or that he didn't think she would be able to survive the night on her own, how did he think she had gotten this far?

"You know, unlike what you may think, I'm not just a breakable little doll that'll shatter in the breeze. You don't know half of what I've been through so don't judge me so quickly," she barked coldly, her smouldering gaze holding little signs of forgiveness, "And besides, I thought you of all people would be happy having more immortals running around considering that two immortals are likely to make at least a third-"

She immediately bit her lip as the words left her mouth, instantly scolding herself for having said too much. Hoping that perhaps he hadn't noticed she folded her ears back, silently noting that there was another wolf, probably Charity, not far from them. --

Flint stepped back allowing Ayla her space. "You know, unlike what you may think, I'm not just a breakable little doll that'll shatter in the breeze. You don't know half of what I've been through so don't judge me so quickly... And besides, I thought you of all people would be happy having more immortals running around considering that two immortals are likely to make at least a third-" Flint thought over Ayla's words, and rolled his tongue around in his mouth.

"No Ayla, I did not say that you where a breakable doll, there is no way I would, yet the nights out here become so cold. I know that I shouldn't of judged you, but, shouldn't this be almost expected of me? Seeing being on my lonesome for over 40 years, I'm surprised that I haven't forgotten to communicate. I would be glad to have more immortals around, but none so quickly. We have all these mortal wolves to tend to swell, those we need to raise in our ways. Though I am not making excuses. I should be congratulating you not, spiteing you. For that I am sorry" Flint sighed and turned away, staring at the ground he muttered "I don't deserve to be in a pack"

The blood still trickled down his face as he lifted a paw to return to the den, It was now up to Ayla whether she wanted to stay or go; the charcoaled male shot a glance over his shoulder as he haltered momentarily, before taking a light jump over a fallen log. Where he continued to pad back.

Ayla's ears fell back at his words and apology, and her brow furrowed when he walked away - every other time she had yelled or snarled at a wolf it usually ended up in a fight. Hackles still slightly raised and senses very much alert, she watched him leave, but her paws didn't move to follow. She was not one to hold a grudge, but she wasn't ready to just come crawling back just yet, she was far too proud for something of that nature.

Giving a silent sigh of relief that he had not picked up on her slip of the tongue, she padded to the base of a tree before lying down, her thick, winter-made coat protecting her from the wind. Curling up and allowing her tail to keep her nose warm, she snuggled into the moss at its roots as if to sleep, but her golden orbs remained wide open and illuminated in the moonlight.

Flint walked through the forest and saw something creamy coloured to the corner of his eye, surprise it was Charity. He knew Ayla probably wouldn't come back this night or maybe the next, he knew for her being a descendant of Garth that she wouldn't come back that easy. The dark male halted in his step and looked to Charity, no expression over his face, then continued on.

As he made his way back he relayed the words of Ayla in his head and a specific sentence, "happy having more immortals running around considering that two immortals are likely to make at least a third-" the words played over and over in his head. She must of had an immortal friend, but how could she be so blind to see her own immortality until he pointed it out. Never mind, Flint was sure the answer would come out soon, rather than later on down the track.

The breeze cut against him, the tingling pain in his head as he approached the caves once more. He walked in and laid where he had before he was sent to his paws about what Ayla had said. And once again, as if deja vu he laid his head upon his crossed paws, staring out into the moonlight.

Wyatt let out a loud yelp in surprise as something gripped his tail. He immediately yanked it away and spun his body around with a small growl in his throat at his assailant. He was just about to speak when the sight of Charity fleeing caught his eye; soon followed by the orders to look after the pup.

He pulled his head back slightly in a little shock, what on earth was he supposed to do with it? Pick it up? Push it around? Leave it be? In all his years, he'd never been confronted with such a situation before, and it scared him slightly, 'what if I break it? She would kill me!' He took a sparing glance to where Charity had headed, then returned his attention to Nakia, casting a small smile her way.

Wyatt looked about in an awkward silence before getting up and facing her fully. He crouched his front down to her level and waved his tail behind him in play,
"stealthy one, aren't we."

Basile arouse from her light sleep to the growling and yelling of Flint and a Fae wolf. She didn't hear what they were arguing about but knew it had to be something interesting if Flint got this upset about it. Her grey eyes flickered from Flint to the angry Fae and lastly to the quiet one, noticing the worry in her eyes. What happened?

She feigned sleep as they both ran out of the cave and into the night. Briefly, Basile wondered if they would be alright--Flint did say it got terrible at night. Her ears flicked back in worry as the quiet Fae went out of the cave as well.

It wouldn't do anyone any good if she went out to look for them aswell. She would probably get lost. She could only hope they would sort out their differences by themselves before the weather got too bad.

When Flint returned without the others, Basile sighed and tried to force herself to sleep. The less she knew, the less stress she would have to face, She would ask them all about this in the morning.

[Sorry for not being too active, I've gotten sick before and didn't have much time to come online because I also had finals for my school since the school year was ending so again sorry!!]

Scythe waddled after the wolves. With each step he took, he winced in pain and growled, muttering nonsense to himself. He stopped for a moment to look around, he lost sight of the others. Standing on shaky legs he panted lightly, already feeling tired out from the entire walk from the tree where he first encountered then past the river and now here.

Scythe raised his nose to the sky, to try and catch the scents of the others but lowered his ears in confusion as he gazed about. He cursed under his breath, thinking that he would have never fallen behind if he wasn't injured.

Charity stayed hidden as Ayla barked coldly at the black as night male. Her ears pricked at the female's words. So she had known about Immortals. Interesting. It seems we might possibly get more than we bargained for. The cream one's words seemed to have a saddening effect on the male, for he turned and deemed himself unworthy of a pack. Her eyes watched him as he walked away, even catching a glimpse of her. Her light coat was not an easy one to hide in the dark, unlike his midnight black coat. She could really only see his lime orbs piercing the darkness. You are worthy one like the night, she thought as he walked away.

Tearing her gaze from him she looked to Ayla, who had curled herself up into the roots of a tree. Padding over she lowered herself down next to the stubborn she-wolf, so their fur brushed against one another. "Ayla," she said softly, "I don't think you should stay out here yourself. It would be best for you young ones if you kept warm." Now that she was closer she noticed the trace of a distinct scent that came with a pregnant wolf. "I believe you are further along than even you realise..."

Nakia grinned widely at the wolf's response to her 'attack.' She giggled at his face as he was told to watch her. I'm going to have fun with this guy. "Yes I am," she replied to his words, her tail high in the air as she strutted around proudly.

Thinking she might have some fun she began to up onto his nose and onto his head. Her largish paws slipped a few times but her claws were not sharp so wouldn't hurt the big male. Sitting down in the slight indent of his neck she saw Flint arrive back. "Mister Flint! Where'd you go? When's my mummy coming back? Why do you look so sad?" she barked in his direction. "What do you think of my seat!?"
