Licking the blood free from her coat with quick swipes of her tongue Ayla managed to get it back to it's usual state fairly quickly, though faint traces of pink and red still lingered about her jaws and in small spots on her neck. In the tine it took to clean herself, her stomach had begun to settle, though almost immediately after the bursting fullness and occasional kicks died down into just a hardly noticeable ache, a new sensation replaced it. She began to feel edgy and restless, as though she should be moving, not just sitting there.

The alabaster female got to her paws and began to pace. She had felt restless with the need to move and run on many occassions, only this time was different. Running wasn't on the agenda. Move to safety. Cover. Den. Find a den. the words rang through from the deepest sections of her mind, from the most maternal, primitive and instinctive portion of her entire being.

Her pacing abruptly jerking to a halt, her head swung around to face the ruins Flint had called their den. Immediately her mind rejected it, deeming it too open and insecure for her needs. She tried to convince herself that somewhere in the tangle of stone there would be somewhere safe for her to birth her pups.

She leapt up the first few steps before pausing and looking back at the others. She frowned, not knowing how deep and tangled the ruins might be nor how long it would take her to find a suitable den. She sighed and reluctantly turned her gaze to Flint, the words asking for his help tasting like acid in her mouth,
"Flint, could you come here a moment? I need a hand, erm, finding my way around the ruins..."

Flint eyes shot open as Ayla had seemed to call to him desperately, Something was wrong. He got to his paws in a quick scuffle and padded to her, noting her restlessness. He stopped briefly beside her and spoke softly "I had just gathered some nesting material for you, It was the least that I could do, now follow me, its not too hard to find. I have you a place big enough if you wish to squeeze three adult wolves in. But its warm and out of the way of the wind and weather" he flickered a short smile and padded into the forever dark ruins. As the cave veered slightly to the right, it was just another few paces before Flint had turned as the cave looped upon itself. He stood beside the entrance to the small cavern, that was now filled with grasses, giant leaves and other material.

"Here Ayla" he called softly. His tail swayed lightly behind him as his dark velvety ears pricked, listening for Ayla. His obsidian coat disappeared in the cave quite easily but his luminous greeny-yellow eyes shone brightly. His white chest also revealed his body amongst the dark rocks and little light.

Ayla's ears pricked up at his words, "I had just gathered some nesting material for you, It was the least that I could do, now follow me, its not too hard to find. I have you a place big enough if you wish to squeeze three adult wolves in. But its warm and out of the way of the wind and weather." A brow raised in suspicion as she wondered where the wolf that had been furious with her the previous night had gone, and, more importantly to her, how was she going to punish him for looking after her. With eyes that narrowed into slits of flame, she followed him into the curling depths of stone.

Her ears perked when she saw him almost perfectly blended into the shadows and directing her to a small cave. With half a lip curled up slightly, she entered, sweeping the small area with her eyes and scrutinizing it from every angle. Nothing escaped her keen sight as she rustled a fee of the soft leaves and grass that served as padding and she examined every crack in the rocks.

After a few moments, she sat at the centre, turning her icy gaze to the male barely distinguishable in the darkness just outside. Then something odd happened. Her fluffy, snowy tail began to wag, softly beating the ground with each rise and fall as her face broke it's impassive mask and she grinned. All previous thoughts of how she was going to rip each individual hair from his ears as a result of his attempts at looking after her faded as she looked around again, slightly put off by how happy she was. She managed to mutter something through the tangle of emotions that was able to clear the air in the warm atmosphere in the ruins;
"It's perfect."

Flint watched as Ayla approached, she had never intimidated him and wasn't about to now, even with her intense posture and fiery look in her eyes. Flint wasn't afraid of anything these days. Well pretty much nothing. He watched as she stepped into the small cavern and seemed to study it from every single angle as she curled her lips up slightly. Flint sometimes wondered what females thought, or what was going through their strange minds.

As the moment he blinked Ayla's mood had changed completely there one moment ago she was sitting there, in an aggressive disposition and here she was now wagging her tail and and grinning at him. Flints head immediately tilted to the side, he was confused. Females really unnerved him through their personalities and beings. They weren't as logical as males and always changing their moods. You had to watch your back with these creatures around. Flint became distracted by a number of incoming thoughts before Ayla interrupted them by a mutter "It's perfect." Flint stepped forth slightly with an expression written on his face, wondering if she was being sarcastic or telling the truth. It wasn't long before he deduced that it be the truth. He smiled happily and spoke softly again "Your welcome Ayla" was all he responded for now.

Flint looked around a little unnerved. He was thinking whether he should leave Ayla here, call Charity in, or just stay there by himself with Ayla and converse with the female. That was one thing that Flint disliked. Females always seemed to talk about emotions, there was no room for that in a males sphere of influence.

The slightest of smirks twitched the corners of Ayla's mouth as she noticed that her scowl had not affected him in the slightest, but as soon as she began to smile and no words were being said he seemed unnerved. She ignored him for the moment, content with the silence and hoping to give him enough peace to make a decision as to what to do next. Meanwhile, she moved herself further to the corner of the space where there was an extra build up of the soft leaves and she sat down.

The restless feeling didn't leave her though, despite the fact that she'd found a den, and she shifted uncomfortably, unsure of what she was meant to do to rid herself of it. Her instincts offered no more help as she rearranged her seated position many times, even laying down once or twice.

Finally too restless and feeling uncomfortable with the silence she blurted out the first thing that came to mind,
"So when do we start training the pack-members?" As soon as the words left her mouth she felt foolish, she wouldn't even be able to run for a few days at best, let alone train, and once this was all over she wasn't even sure if she could train because she had only ever been trained before not the trainer. Regardless, she did her best to retain her dignity as she sat by the wall.

In his mind Flint scoffed at Ayla's words. When would they start to train?. They most certainly not going to train while she had her pups, well Ayla wasn't going to anyways. "We won't be training until the Pack is settled and you are over having your pups" he stepped back and awaited her roar. His coat disappear into the cavern once more. Though he couldn't help but notice her calm and comfort in the small area.

Charity glared at this female. The cheek of giving 'just travelling' for her answer. That is not an excuse to stop and watch a group of wolves as she had. Leaning down to her pup she spoke firmly, "Nakia why don't you go find someone to play with." The young pup pouted by did as she was told walking back to the others. Charity looked back at the grey female. "What do you plan on doing now?" she asked, testing the female.

Nakia stalked off, rather annoyed that she'd been told to leave. She cast a glance back at her mother and the grey female. "Pfft," she muttered. Plopping to the ground she looked around at her pack. Her ears pricked as she noticed something. Wondering where Flint and Ayla had gotten up to she followed their scents. She climbed up the steps to the cave and trotted inside. It was dark in the caves but she could hear some voices coming from one of the tunnels.

Something brushed past her and kept going. She couldn't see what it was, it was dark in there! Trotting further she came to a little room. She could hear breathing and barely see Ayla's white coat. "What are you doing in here, Miss Ayla?" she asked innocently.

Anat watched the older female send the young one away. Her grey ears twitched as the second wolf to greet her's question resonated in her senses. She rolled the question around in her mind, taking time to answer it. Better to wait and they think you a fool than answer right away and give them proof she thought. It had been a lesson her father had taught her before his death. For that moment, her heart squeezed. There had been few things she had ever loved in life. They were food, the warmth of spring, thunderstorms, open fields, and her father.

Finally, after what must have been forever for her interrogator, Anat answered. "I had planned on travelling on," it was the truth, even if her wait to answer made it seem otherwise. This female was testing her. It was clear in the wary way of her body language. Then again, she did have her pup. Memories of her and her father sprang up within her. He had once told her that having pups was the greatest joy one could find. Perhaps, if she were to stay and befriend these wolves, she would ask.

Flint watched as the young beige-y coloured Nakia brushed past his leg and started questioning Ayla. The poor pup didn't even know that he was here and she sitting infront of him, any further back and she'd be siting on him! The onyx male continued to lay down for now, he wondered what to do with the pup, he wasn't particularly in the mood for scaring her. His tail keenly flicked side to side silently as he recited his words in his mind.

Flint spoke softly "Nakia, Ayla is getting ready to have her pups" he answered before Ayla could and gave Ayla a wink. With that the male sat up and revealed his white chest and looked down to the pup who sat infront of him awaiting her reply.

Charity waited for the she-wolf to answer. It seemed to be a while before the female said anything. She couldn't tell what was going on in the others mind and wondered if she was thinking up a good excuse. Though Charity could be merciful she was also suspicious of strangers.

The answer finally came, the intent to move on. Charity held her head high and asked softly, "I don't suppose you would like to stay if you had the choice?"

Nakia jumped in fright hearing a voice. The skin over her back prickled as she whirled around to see where the voice came from. This only resulted in her paws becoming tangled and her falling over. When she did look up from her face on the cave floor she saw a white patch in the darkness. Above that patch of fur were two lime coloured eyes. They resembled Flint's. She breathed a sight of relief and stood.

"So will there be more pups around here? When are they coming? How long before I can play with them? Will they be Special too?" Nakia barked out a torrent of questions.

Ayla's ears flew back in indignation at his comment, her lips drawing back into a small, silent snarl. Before she could send flaming words his way, Nakia came stumbling in, asking her what she was doing. Ayla's face immediately softened at the sight of the young female and even a slight laugh escaped her partially parted jaws as she jumped at Flint's 'sudden' appearance.

Ayla nodded at Nakia's first question, a smile working it's way onto her face,
"Yes, there certainly will be more pups around here, and one or two might even be special! You'll be able to play with them within a few weeks and from what I can tell, they'll be here in a few days." Almost as soon as she said that, a sharp pain shot through her abdomen, though there were no visible signs of it on the outside and in a whisper that couldn't be heard even in the quiet of the cave she added, "Or sooner."

Flint chuckled lightly seeing Nakia jump in surprise to his words. He truly did disappear in the caverns, His mind rolled over the thought as Nakia had proposed her next question. Ayla can answer that one he thought, but soon Ayla had answered it. Finishing with the 'Or sooner' His ears perked at the realisation that she had meant.

The onyx male shot to his paws and bounded to the cave entrance, in the process being blinded by the sunlight coming through the trees. "Charity! Charity! You need to come quickly" He barked, knowing that she was more 'experienced' in that sort of area. He looked around for the silvery cream wolf and hoped she would appear in his vision soon enough.

Nakia's tail wagged quickly at the thought of more playmates. It seemed she would have to wait a while for them though. She caught the 'or sooner' but did not understand why Flint ran off so. It's not like she was having them this very minute was she? Nakia tilted her head, Ayla didn't seem to be doing anything but lie there so she was unsure about Flint's reaction. "Is he ok?" she asked.

Charity looked around upon hearing her name. It was Flint and it sounded urgent. What's going on? she wondered. "You into the clearing. You're not going to stay out here in the shadows," she spoke to the grey female. Turing she trotted quickly back to Flint. He was standing at the cave's entrance. "What is it Flint?" she asked, worried that something bad had happened. She waited on the bottom steps for his answer.

Ayla's ears flicked in a slight sense of alarm as Flint raced from the den, surely the cramp didn't call for an emergency did it? But then again, she knew nothing about what was going on or what was going to happen, so she took his alarm with more seriousness. She looked down at Nakia's questioning and a faked but kind smile made it's way to her maw.

"Yeah, he'll be just fine, he's just being his usual silly old self, nothing to worry about," she smiled, trying to make herself believe the words too. Inside her stomach was churning with the suddeness of it all. She was going to be a mother, and for the first time in more years than she bothered to count, she felt truly scared.

"Ayla's going to have her pups soon, I thought it best if you were there.... Being a mother and all..." Flint started to think that he perhaps over-reacted a bit. He shook his coat and looked to Charity, still being blinded by the sun, he squinted into it and attempted to be hidden from its deathly gaze.

"So.... ah.. she's this way" he said awkwardly and padded back into the cave, the darkness was so much more relaxing to his senses. Flint followed the passage back down and paused as he reached Ayla and Nakia. His coat once again disappearing in the dark, though his pearly white chest gleamed, as well as his luminous eyes light up the darkness around him.

Anat frowned. She hadn't even told the female if she had the intent to stay or not and already she had given Anat an order. A male came to drag her away, all the more irritating, so Anat decided to stay sitting where she was. She held her head proud, but not so much in hubris or rebellion. As always, her onyx eyes were calm, revealing nothing about her irritation. Her few years of lessons from her father had taught her that. Her tail curled lightly around her paws as she waited.

Charity was not quite so impressed by Flint's answer. "Flint, wolves have been having pups for a long time now. Mostly the mothers are alone. I don't really think that's such a big deal but if you want, I will go see her," she spoke with reason. Giving a roll of her eyes she followed the charcoal male.

Inside the cave it got darker the further in they went. It took a few moments for her eyes to adjust to the very low levels of light. Once they did she could see very little of Flint, just the white on his chest and the light reflected from his eyes. Nakia was down here too. So this is where my little one went. She padded closer to where Ayla lay. "What's going on then?" she asked.

Nakia tilted her head as she watched Ayla. The female was trying to put on a kind smile. The young pup wasn't falling for it. What made them all so jumpy. All Ayla had were some puppies in her tummy. Her ears flicked as the sound of paw-steps echoed through the tunnel. The invisible Flint and her mother arrived.

Nakia moved over to Flint, where she could touch him and make sure she knew where he was. "She's going to be alright you know," she told him.

Bella watched the group from the short distance she stood from them. Her soft ears swerved to their conversation, both the one between the young pup and the new wolf and the one between the three Cora.
Her interest in what they spoke off soon vanished, not wanting to bother about evesdropping so she went back to cleansing her front paws and muzzle, getting rid of the blood stains that were left from her meal.

(I am uber sorry for disappearing recently! )

Wyatt rolled around in his spot for a few moments, completely reluctant to get up. Pouting slightly he bought himself to his feet with a grunt and sat in his spot for a few moments. The smell of food got the better of him and he slowly made his way over to what was left. Taking a few scraps he trotted away with them and sat in the warming grass to eat.

{oh so very lame...}

Ayla was lost for words to begin with, her mouth opening and closing a few times as she tried to speak, though it only gave her the appearance of a fish out of water. After a few moments she was able to explain to Charity about the sharp pains and cramps that were frequenting her abdomen without her tongue becoming little more than a limp muscle. After that she became quiet once more, loosing herself in her thoughts.

Panic gripped her stomach and twisted it into an uncomfortable knot as one thought became stuck in her mind, something so obvious it should not have bothered her but it made her head spin. She was going to be a mother. By the time the sun next rose she would have someone, or rather, someones to look after. She would have to be responsible. it would be months before she could continue her search, or even be able to have some peace.

She took a deep breath as another burst of pain shot through her stomach and she knew that it wouldn't be too long before she would be burdened with that responsibility. Taking another deep breath, she relaxed her muscles and face, allowing her body to take on the appearance of complete and utter calm. This facade was so convincing that not even the most insightful wolf would be able to pick out her inner turmoil, even Ayla herself was almost convinced of her peacefulness, the only indication that this was not the case being the kicks that frequented her stomach.

"As much as I appreciate your support, I think you'd better go before I bite one of your ears off without knowing," she chuckled in an attempt at humour, allowing herself to sink to the ground in the soft bed Flint had created.

Charity nodded at Ayla. For now the she-wolf needed some time to herself. Her young one's would be arriving soon and she would need her privacy. "Take care Ayla," she said softly.

Turing to Nakia and Flint she frowned playfully. "Come on you two out," she barked. "The new mother needs to be left alone and you are not to come in here again either. Not unless you're invited. Now out of the cave," Charity commanded, nudging at eat of them with her nose. The female glanced back at Ayla. If anything goes wrong we'll be outside the cave," she told her, hoping that it wouldn't be necessary.

The creamy one walked out of the caves and back to the stranger. She sat down in front of her and asked, "You made up your mind whether or not your staying?"

Nakia looked up at her mother. "Aww do we have to go?" she whined. Dropping her ears and tail she succumbed to her mothers nudges and walked out of the cave. Now what was she supposed to do. She plopped herself down on the bottom step and watched as her mother went back to the strange female.

The brown pup sighed. Just then she spotted Wyatt. A sly smile lit up her face and she got up and raced toward him. Quickly she jumped and leapt onto his back. "Hiya Mister Wyatt!" she barked.

Wyatt was mid chew when he felt something land on his back. Choking on what he had half eaten he lay there for a few moments gaining the life back that just leapt from body. He knew all too well who it was that had just attacked him. Peering around behind him he stared with an unimpressed look on his face. Flicking his head back around, he hid a sly smile and started to stand up, wobbling all over the place as he did so, "what on earth do you eat? You're f- I mean very heavy."

A white pelted male trotted through the heavily grassed area, he stepped over large tree trunk roots, carefully stepping down sharp pointed rocks. He gazed around the area, feeling soft cold wind against his fur he noticed squirrels race through the forest floor, causing the leaves to float into the air and slowly coming back down. Which seemed to startle to male ever so often, he gazed around the scenery taking in it's his ears perked seeing a tall wall of cement with odd shapes printed on it.

"Wow." He said in awe, hearing his own voice, he had never seen something like it.

Wyatt smiled to himself as he came to a complete stand and shook his fur. He was just about to turn around to Nakia when a voice came to his ears. He immediately looked around at everyone to see if it was one of the others, but he didn't recognise the voice. Glancing to Nakia he spoke softly in the hope she would obey, "stay here a moment, ok?"

Scenting the air he went in search of the source, it was rather strange that the word 'wow' would just appear from nowhere. Following his nose he came across a strange scent, causing his fur to rise. As he peered from around the wall of the ruin, his eyes rested upon a grey-white figure staring up at ruined wall. He watched for a few moments before clearing his throat loudly with an 'ahem', to gain the wolf's attention.

Crimzen jumped startled at the 'ahem' behind him. He turned giving a sly smile, he was a bit of embarrassed so easily distracted by the great view,

"Hello.".He said, twisting his head towards the male, feeling a bit unease the wind had stopped blow causing leaves to tumble his way, and pile up on his paws. He twitched his ears looking at the broken tipped leaves on him, he huffed causing some of them to pull up and swirl around him, he smiled watching them float with such grace.
