[No offense taken Char xP]

Scythe looked over his shoulder to notice the other pup and growling lowly at her.
"I'm not that mindless, I know she is going to be a mother soon enough!" He barked at her, the word 'mother' having deep strain on him before he turned away from Nakia from where her mother Charity had placed her in the cave.

Ayla smirked a little as she subconsciously noted the goings on between Nakia, Charity, Wyatt and Basile. However, her attention was snapped back to focus as she listened to the black male's explanation. She rolled her eyes a little at his insistance that she get some rest - rest could wait, she had hardened up over years of being alone, she had run longer days. Besides, she figured she could just sleep when she died.

"They sound perfectly fine," she said, in a way more to herself than to Flint, though her voice rose as she questioned, "So, who will teach these wolves to do their jobs? Surely they don't just know what they're doing already. What I mean to say is, how will the Ohtar know how to fight off intruders properly? Who will teach the Vasa patience in choosing prey? Do the Fallaner already know what wisdom is required in healing? And proper stealth and cunning is needed to be a good Edhel and that is something one is not born with, how do you expect they learn to scout without guidance? How do you expect any of them to learn these things without guidance and who will guide them?"

She watched his face carefully for the answer, surely he didn't just expect her to placidly and unquestioningly accept his simple explanations; she wanted answers.

Flint chuckled at the Ayla's curiosity. He shook his head briefly and smirked to Ayla, shifting his sitting position again suggested some restlessness about him. His ears twitched impatiently as he awaited her to finish her miniature speech, as he drooled -in his mind- over the thought of this just waiting till morning. Before deciding to give her one last mini-lecture before she departed to sleep.

"Well Ayla, I have thought this through as well. Each of the four Cora will start the training of the Ohtar, Edhel, Fallaner, and Vasa. As each of us has an element as I previously explained, earlier today. The Ohtar will be trained by you, that is, you get to teach the guards, what it is all about, you are a skilled fighter, and sure have the qualities to do so. Wyatt will train the Vasa, Charity the Fallaner and Myself the Edhel. I believe that we all fit these rankings perfectly through our elements." Flint paused briefly and studied the expression on Ayla's face. "Come on, that is enough for one night, the rest can wait till the morning" he continued with a deepened sigh. Flint got to his paws and nudged Ayla at her chest lightly to get her to her paws before herding her back further into the den.

It would be Flint that lay awake the whole night, watching over his new pack-mates, watching the stars and the gentle breeze through the trees. For now, it seemed his purpose had been somewhat fulfilled, he was happy, content and anxious about running this new pack. He knew it wouldn't be long before he had to take, as well as the other Cora, to take the mortals to become immortals, thats if they wanted such a fate.

The smallest signs of a flinch were visible on her face for less than a millisecond at his words "you are a skilled fighter", Logan used to say that to her when they trained, and the memories made her want to bolt from the cave. It disappeared almost as quickly, a smirk taking its place and her body holding its strong position.

"Well, sounds like you've got this all figured out," she grinned. She was not tired and she had no intention to sleep, but she could see that Flint was ready for her to leave and she gave a small nod, her questions held at bay, at least for now. "Good night, Flint." she barked with what she hoped was a cheery smile as she backed into the den, turning and trotting to its darkest corner that was held at least a few meters from the closest wolf.

She curled up there, just as she had at the base of the tree, her fire-like eyes remaining open and slightly illuminated in the darkness. She watched the others where they lay, especially Flint who seemed intent on keeping watch the whole night. She remembered the last time someone had kept a watch over her as she slept and she sighed.

Despite her debate, she was tired from the events of the day, having run quite a distance without rest before meeting up with the others then having to deal with new wolves. She would not leave Flint to stand sentinal all night on his own though and before sleep took her, she muttered just loud enough so that he could hear
"Wake me up when the moon is its second point past it's height and I'll take the second watch..."

Scythe snored softly in his deep sleep. He rolled onto his back and allowed his tongue to dangle out of his mouth. He was constantly moving around and couldn't stay in place as he dreamed of catching a hare.

"
No, no... it's mine. Leave it to me, I'll catch-". He rambled on muttering in his sleep of having success of catching the hare. His good leg twitched as he kicked the air, making it seem as if he was running.

Rolling back onto his stomach he motioned his front paws making it seem like he was then crawling. "
No, I can fit ---- he won't slip from me ---- the logs not that big ----- it's fluff not fat I can fit....". Scythe let his front legs alone from squirming around and pushed back, walking with his hind legs until he stopped when he was in an awkward position: His rump was high in the air, his tail dangling over his back lifelessly. His arms were crossed upon each other as he laid his head on top.

Flint sighed in somewhat relief as Ayla seemed to disappear to the back of the den he had just started to lookout to the moonlight before she startled him again saying "Wake me up when the moon is its second point past it's height and I'll take the second watch..." he shrugged simply and replied "yeah, yeah go to sleep Ayla" he turned back to face the outside of the den and laid his heavy head upon his big paws and watched out the den. He remained on guard the whole night and there was no way that he would wake Ayla, she needed her sleep as the other members of the pack they had traveled far. Flint had not, he had plenty of rest and was as they say a 'night owl'.

After becoming bored of the incredibly still night Flint got to his paws and went out into the cool morning. Dew covered every leaf and blade of grass already and the sun wasn't surely to rise for hours yet. As he went out into the night Flint soon picked up fresh scents of small deer, and decided to follow them. He had tracked them for up to five kilometers now and had a younger one picked out but it was still a reasonable size and enough for breakfast of the pack. Though he waited patiently and waited and waited. It was the opportune moment to strike upon one and daylight was soon coming.

It wasn't too long after the herd stopped that one of the younger ones became separated and wandered off into it's own curiosity. Flint slinked beneath the shadows and followed the young deer. Flint watched as it lowered it's head to the ground unaware and began grazing away busily. Now was his chance, Flint remained crouched but shot forth through the bushes with a swiftness rarely seen upon him and launched himself upon the deer. The deer let out a call for it's herd, before being struck hard in the side by the black ball of fur. Flint was upon it in a flash and managed to knock it down with ease. He growled and wrapped his strong jaws around it's slender, elegant throat, defying the young deer of oxygen. It slowly suffocated as it's continued struggles to throw the wolf off failed. The young deer soon met it's fate and Flint dropped it on the ground and stood side panting slightly. He looked upon the deer and ruffled his coat before picking up by the neck and carrying it back to the den to share with the pack. He, himself wasn't all that hungry but was sure that the new members were.

Flint reached the den at the start of breaking daylight. The suns rays began to slip through the breaks in the forest, flickering brightly already. Today would be a hot day, the forest had already started to heat up. The black wolf looked at the den and sat by his kill awaiting the members to awaken slowly one by one.

Bellatrix slowly began to rouse up as the filtered light from the high canopies reflected onto her. With a low tired moan she rolled onto her side before allowing a small yawn overpower her.
Peeling open her eyes, she gazed about trying to remember where she was until it came to her. "Oh." Was all she said before she rolled onto her back and yawned once again.
Her ocher gaze slowly wandered to high canopies above where small birds of various types chirped and fluttered about, singing their morning tunes to fill the warming morning air. She sighed quietly feeling the warm air and rolled onto her haunches as she sat up.

The white wolf's slumber was quite tense and restless, unable to fully relax in the presence of so many wolves. She must have dozed off at some point late in the night though for the next thing Ayla could remember was a shaft of light creeping through a crack in the roof and shining onto her face. Her alabaster face twitched as her eyes blinked open, only for her to seconds later shoot to her paws with a growl rising from her chest as in a dazed tiredness she looked around in confusion at the wolves. Before the threatening sound could reach her lips, a new clarity came to her mind and she relaxed, remembering the previous day's events. Her fire-like eyes scanned all the wolves present in the cave to make sure there was nothing suspicious about them; one could never be too careful.

She permitted a small yawn to escape her jaws as she recounted all that had happened in her mind, constantly reminded of the burden her stomach held with each kick. Her eyes narrowed as she realised that because it was dawn, Flint had not woken her up. A silent snarl caused her lips to draw back over her teeth and she sprang forwards, her toes spreading out so as to distribute her weight on the stone and make little to no sound as she ran outside to where the black male waited.

Without thinking, she took a flying leap from the third step, paws out-stretched as they rammed into his chest, knocking him from his sitting position. Pinning him to the ground, ears drawn back she barked in an annoyed voice,
"Don't you know that it's more dangerous for a single wolf to take an entire watch? They will get tired and miss vital points which could be fatal to the other wolves present."

Immediately after her growl, she stepped off him, eyes smouldering. She knew she was over-reacting, this was not like when she was with others, but her instincts still had the better of her. Attention then drawn to the sight of the dead deer, she added in a softer, less-threatening voice, "And nice catch too, I suppose."

Flint had only closed his eyes for a brief moment to blink, until he was on his back pinned to the ground. He gave a low grunt and opened his eyes in surprise to see that it was Ayla "Don't you know that it's more dangerous for a single wolf to take an entire watch? They will get tired and miss vital points which could be fatal to the other wolves present" his eyes widened in shock, last night she had been friendly and forgiving, and now she was a ferocious rabid beast! Flint looked side to side, choked for words, but only momentarily.

She then got off of him and spoke again a lot softer "And nice catch too, I suppose", he gave a slight nod, not sure whether to let the first statement just roll off his shoulders like the dew now was, or to respond. But for now, he was to leave it, it was clear to him that she is definitely a descendant of Garth. "Help yourself to the food.." he said as he sat up and shook the dirt and leaf litter from his coat. He looked at her still simply stunned at the rate of which she had changed from nice to aggressive.

Wyatt smirked at Nakia as she was whisked away, poking his tongue at her once more in victory. He turned back to Basile, noting the slight confusion on her face at what had just happened. He gave her a small smile before taking a few steps away and setting himself down to the ground.

Watching the others mingle and move around he let out a yawn. He had no care that it was morning, he hadn't slept in a while, so he was going to whether the others liked it or not; even if it meant being momentarily left behind.

Some of the pack were slowly waking up and in sleep Basile knew this. She let out a soft groan as she woke and stretched her body. Shaking her pelt to rid herself of any remaining sleepiness, she padded slowly around the cave, memorizing what used to be darkness last night.

She yawned, watching as Wyatt laid down to sleep. She quickly looked away from the sleeping wolf because she was still drowsy as well and if she continued to watch him sleep she would too.

Basile moved into a gentle trot as she approached the mouth of the cave. The light of morning shone through and Basile quickly walked through it. She noticed Flint and the white wolf close to a fawn kill as she passed them. She ignored them for now and laid down once more in the sunlight. She would stay in that spot for a little while until the sunning warmed her fur, then she would return to the cave.

Charity's ears flicked as the sounds of the others beginning to stir reached her ears. A sharp bark brought her fully out of her slumber. Blinking her eyes open, she lifted her head. A few of the wolves had already left the cave. Raising to her paws she stretched her limbs. Feeling looser she walked out of the cave.

Charity spotted the calf dead on the ground. Her stomach grumbled, reminding her just how long it had been since she'd had a proper meal. Saliva gathered in her mouth. Quickly she made her way over to the meat and dug in. Blood soon covered her face and paws.

Nakia was now lying on her back still asleep. Now that her warmth had gone her paws reached out for her mother's fluffy tail. Her paws closed on thin air and when she could not find it she began to wake. Rolling onto her stomach she yawned and opened her eyes. Her mother had left the cave. Getting up she trotted over to Scythe before pouncing toward the sleeping male. "Wake up sleepy head!" she barked cheekily. Jumping off she raced outside.

Leaping down the steps, two at a time she reached her mother's side and whined. Charity looked over at Nakia and tore off some meat for her. The young pup munched on it happily.

Bellatrix slowly rose onto her haunches, her tail swaying softly side to side against the drying grass as the morning moist slowly seeped down into the earth. Her moist nose began to take in the alluring and mouthwatering stench of a freshly killed doe that was close by. By the trail of the scent in the air, it seemed to be coming from where the den was along with the rest of the pack.
Bella rose to her feet and slowly began heading over, the overpowering gnawing knot within her stomach growing louder with each step she took. Once she came into view with the others she lowered her head a bit, focused on the small kill by the others. Bellatrix sat a short length away from the group and waited patiently as they ate before asking for some.

Wyatt's eyes fluttered open as the smell of food and the sound of Nakia woke him. Groaning, he rolled onto his stomach and stretched his back legs out behind him, doing the same to the front. Letting off a yawn he rest his head on his outstretched paws and brought the focus back to his vision. He hadn't gotten much sleep, but it was enough to keep him going for a while longer.

The grey female shifted uneasily. She had come upon another pack, and had listened to their uneasy conversation. It appeared that one may be with pups - not taken too well by a male. Her mate, maybe? The beady black eyes that shone from the mass of her grey fur were watchful. Her muscles tensed. Soon, she would approach them. Soon, she would make herself known. One paw stretched out, her hard pads settling lightly on the grasses. She was silent and still, moving at a snail like pace. She paused, checking for the wind. It did not blow from in front of her, but also not from behind. The breeze came against her left shoulder, making her glad that she was perpindicular to it and not a parallel downwind.

Preferably, she would have been upwind, where her scent would go away from the wolves, but for now, this would work. One more paw reached forward. Her body slid carefully with it, hind leg stretching. They had meat. Luckily, its blood - scent would cover her own. As well as distract them from her. She allowed herself to rest in a relaxed crouch, reesting for that precious few heartbeats. Did she wait for them to take notice or did she assert herself upon them? It would be key to how they saw her. Her decision came. Slinking forward, she laid with her head on her paws, peeping out from the base of a bush.

(not my best, but oh well)

Bella's gaze slowly wandered, settling onto another brute who seemed a bit drowsy from just barely stirring up from his light slumber. Her interest in him shifted to the low growl from within her stomach and she flicked her tail.
Getting up she trotted over to the other two, the pure white female who stood by the onyx brute and gave a small smiled towards them, before turning over towards the catch. She nudged it softly with her nose before she tore a small chunk for herself and sat a little ways off. Her tail thumped lightly against the ground as she engorged herself with the rich chunk of meat.

Charity made sure that Nakia had enough to eat and kept tearing at the deer for herself. Her stomach continued to shout at her for more. She spared a glance up as Bellatrix took some of the meat for herself. Eyeing the female carefully she made sure there was still some there and kept eating.

Nakia had soon eaten her fill. It was always good to have something to fill her belly. She didn't always get a meal as good as this, her mother having to sacrifice food for herself to make sure the pup got enough first. Looking around with her ears perked, Nakia suddenly noticed something in the bushes. She couldn't be sure since none of the adults had reacted but being a curious young one she decided to investigate.

Sneaking away she darted through the bushes. Making her way around she came to the place she thought was the source of the disturbance. A grey wolf was crouched behind the bushes appearing to watch her pack. "What do you think you are doing?" she barked accusingly. Her tail stuck up in the are and a frown was on her face as she waited for the she-wolf to explain herself.

A yawn spread the fae's jaws apart moments before a young little wolfling came to her. Anat eyed her warily, not used to having to answer to a pup of all things. "Do you not see?" She spoke seriously, "I am observing the pack." It was the truth. She was also resting. Restful observation. Always a good time. It shocked her that a pup had taken notice of the stranger and none of the elder wolves had. Grunting, Anat waited for what answer this pup would give.

Flint sat heavy upon his haunches he sighed deeply expressing his calm. Looking to his dusted paws a small rustling caught his sensitive ears. For now, that did not matter. The onyx coloured male sat patiently and watched Charity over-indulge her meat all to quickly, a smile flickered over his face as he watched the young Nakia pressure her Mother for some of the food. Flint's tail started to curl instinctively around his paws as he sat in his upright position. It wasn't long before some of the others had decided to join in on eating the deer as well. He knew that it wouldn't be a big feed for them but it would have to do for now. Something like that would of fed himself for a number of days, but by the looks of it only a number of minutes amongst this hungry pack.

Flint looked to Ayla and gave her a nudge, then spoke softly "You need to go and eat Ayla, before most of its gone" he remained calm and lifted his head slightly to the white female. A small pleased look came over his face as he looked to her before giving her a nudge again.

Basile rose, finished with her sunning. She sighed and went back to the cave. On the way there, she thought she saw a figure in the bushes but as she looked away she lost sight of it. Her mouth began to water as her nose caught of a kill.

She trotted quickly, hesitating as she saw Nakia and her mother feeding but soon leaned down and quickly snapped her piece. She kept a wary eye on the wolves around her out of habit and munched quickly.

She restrained herself for eating what she wanted because the others hadn't got there yet. She pulled away from the kill, her muzzle bloodied. If there was anything left after everyone had their fill, she would return to it.

Scythe woke with a jolt fom when Nakia pounced on him so he would wake. He grunted, a little annoyed since in his dream he was extremely color of catching the hare but once Nakia woke him, it didn't happen.

He sighed but then perked up to smell some fresh food and scuttered over. His eyes narrowed at the small meal and he grinned. Thinking this would be great practice of a snatch and run.

Scythe crouched down before running awkwardly to the meal. He went underneath the mother of nakia and clamped his small jaws on the meat and tugged, preparing to dart off just as quick as he came.

It didn't seem to go as he planned at all though, as he tried to pull the meat and run, his teeth weren't yet sharp enough to tear through it easily so instead the pup fell back.

Rubbing his head with his paw, he jabbed the meat with a scowl before tearing of a piece for himself. As his ate, his pure pelt soon became tattered and stained in the blood but didnt care since he was finally eating something.

His lobes perked when he saw nakia run off to a nearby bush and seeming to be talking to it. He grunted softly and snorted, "
Weird females.". He perked up though when he was able to make out the body of another wolf hidding in the bushes and tilted his head.

Nakia frowned up at the grey wolf. It wasn't really a satisfactory answer to just be watching a pack. She wrinkled up her nose, "That's not it is it?" she spoke. "What are you really doing here? If you're not planing on staying, I'll have to ask you to leave, my packs land. We already have the four Special wolves for the leaders but you're not Special anyway." The young brown pup tilted her head, "So what's it going to be, stay, leave or shall I chase you off," Nakia spoke boldly.

Charity stopped her eating. She could easily have eaten more but she thought it would be good to leave some for the other wolves. Scythe was eating now too, which was good. She wasn't sure when the white pup last ate. Stepping away from the carcass she began to clean herself of the blood on her face and paws.

The female paused as she was cleaning, she could hear Nakia and it sounded like she was talking to someone. Quickly she looked around but her pup was not in site. Getting up she followed the sound of her voice and saw a grey female one she hadn't seen in the cave the night before. A growl rose from her throat. How dare another wolf be so close?

Stepping forward confidently and protectively she moved in front of Nakia. "Just what do you think you're doing here?" she growled.

Anat frowned as the pup began acting as if she were the dominant one. The grey female lowered her hear to the little one's eye level, a glare in her own inky black orbs. Before she could respond to anything, another female arrove. Anat groaned inwardly. So much for relaxation. "I am merely travelling," she ground out honestly. Her glare vanished in a mask of coolness as she looked at the second femle joined her and the pup who had admiringly tried to defend the pack.

A small smile worked it's way to Ayla's lips as she noted Flint's encouragement for her to eat. Eating was possibly the last thing on her mind, the growing squirms and kicks of her pups only unsettling her stomach, but on the other paw one part of her mind, obviously controlled by instinct screamed at her to take as much meat as possible for it would not only benefit her, but her pups too. With a small sigh that eminated her internal frustration and weariness, she got to her paws and stepped over to the carcass.

In the space of the few steps her body seemed to transform completely, her relaxed muscles tightening and the fur across her shoulders making her appear even more intimidating, even the slightest beginnings of a snarl flicking at the corners of her mouth. This was natural for her, having to fight for whatever place she could at a carcass since puphood and her uneasiness around others further adding to her tense mood. Swiftly finding a place at the shoulder where the larger portions of meat now remained she wasted no time in dipping her head to sheer away muscle and ligament with her teeth, ivory canines slicing through the rich source of protein with practiced precision. What remained of the fresh blood that had up until that point remained moist in the flesh dried in dark crimson smears across her muzzle and splattered across her chest and paws.

Eating a fair portion of the meal, her stomach further unsettled by the presence of meat, she stepped back. Her muscles still remaining tense and her hackles still raised from her meal, Ayla's blood-splattered figure appeared to be quite intimidating as her smoldering eyes glanced around the clearing.

Flint watched as success wreaked over him as Ayla padded to the carcass. He watched as she tensed but he himself felt no threat, Besides, that was just her personality and the way he figured it the others in his pack would just have to get used to the idea that Ayla was like that and is always going to be in that way. Though watching her devour the food in a upmost almost barbaric manner his head tilted slightly knowing that she would of been hungry but not that hungry. He watched Ayla's belly seem to fill up and the light kicks and movements of her pups inside. He thought of how long it would be till she would have the pups. The least he could do for his previous, rogue actions was to provide a 'den' for her.

Flint got to his paws and sneaked away quietly and unnoticed for now. He padded to a thicket and near it, lay the giant leaves and dried grasses that were needed for a den. This wasn't his first time looking after a female that bore pups. He fetched a rather huge amount of materials, firstly gathering into a neat pile and then, moving them into the den, The cave remained dark and Flint veered off into a small circular like cavern, It was big enough to fit two, maybe three full grown adults. It was here that he placed all the materials for Ayla to nest down in to have her pups.

The onyx male walked back outside and sat down again where he had originally been sitting wondering if anyone had noticed him disappearing for the short half hour he had. Voices trickled through his ears and he turned to the bushes to faintly see Charity, Nakia and a new stranger wolf. Flint figured that Charity could handle this one and continued to sit around feeling lazy.

Flint soon laid down and looked down his paws staring at the carcass, he wasn't hungry, just tired for now. His eyes closed slightly as he entered a day-dreaming like state, though just peacefully resting. Still fully aware of what was going on around him.
